BRITTANY DODSON, RN, IBCLC

(she/her)

SERVICE AREAS: Clarke County, Frederick County, Western Loudoun County, and Winchester City

After graduating from Shenandoah University in Winchester, VA, Brittany was blessed to gain employment in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. Caring for babies in the NICU kept her in the line of women’s and children’s care, which had been her goal.

Lactation had always been in her mind as her “dream job,” and after having her third son, Brittany chose to pursue her education by becoming an IBCLC in 2020. Her love for breastfeeding began when she had her first son in 2013. He was born prematurely at 34 weeks and eventually went on to breastfeed for over 18 months.

Brittany has faced many challenges with her three sons and reached out to lactation consultants who helped her reach her breastfeeding goals with each child and to gain the knowledge she has now in this profession. Although personally Brittany’s breastfeeding journey has ended, she feels blessed to be able to continue passing along her knowledge and passion by helping mothers reach their breastfeeding goals.
