Laura is the owner of Premier Lactation Services and grew up in the Northern VA/Washington DC area and attended George Mason University. After receiving her Bachelor’s of Science in Biology, she decided nursing was an excellent way to combine her love of science and serving the community. She graduated from George Mason with a second Bachelor’s degree in Nursing and worked in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit from 2011-2020. She is currently working as an RN Birth Assistant attending birth center births and homebirths. Laura became an IBCLC in 2013 and is also IBCLC Master Class Certified.
Laura continues to attend training and continuing education courses to increase her knowledge base to keep her practice current. Her mission is to provide her clients and their families with the most current information about breastfeeding to help them to be happy and healthy.
While nursing has been her career, teaching people about breastfeeding has become her passion. In Laura’s spare time, she enjoys yoga, hiking, weightlifting and training for and running half-marathons.
