SHARON HAMON-BOOMER, CPM, LM, IBCLC

(she/her)

SERVICE AREAS: Fairfax, Prince William, and Eastern Loudoun Counties

Sharon graduated from Virginia Commonwealth University in 2009—pregnant with her first child and discovering, almost in tandem, the direction her life was meant to take. With two B.A. degrees in hand, she felt a clear pull toward holistically supporting childbearing people. By 2011, she had become a birth doula and a La Leche League Leader, soon adding postpartum doula training and volunteer work with Postpartum Support Virginia. Over the years she has facilitated birth circles, breastfeeding groups, and postpartum gatherings, creating spaces where new parents feel held, heard, and understood.

Today, Sharon is not only an IBCLC but also a practicing Licensed and Certified Professional Midwife. Her work is rooted in the belief that supporting families through pregnancy, birth, and early parenthood is a powerful way to heal and uplift the world—one person, one moment, one open pair of hands at a time.

Beyond her profession, Sharon is a devoted partner and mother to two human children, a few beloved fur babies, and a flourishing collection of plants. Music is always playing in her home, and she finds joy in being surrounded by life in all its forms. She loves sinking into a good book and often seeks out a satisfying sweat session—whether in the gym or running the trails.
